Did you know that 49% of the expat population worldwide are women? This means nearly 113 million of women moved away from their countries seeking better life conditions and job opportunities. Kudos to all of them, and if you too are a woman living away from home – kudos to you!

International Women’s Day is around the corner, and there will be so many good quality events happening to celebrate this day that you will have a hard time in choosing which one to attend. If you’re not so sure about the history related to International Women’s Day, the United Nations has a section on their website dedicated to the historical highlights around this day. We can assure you it’s a good read!

2021’s International Women’s Day theme is #ChooseToChallenge, and you can read the following in the official #IWD2021 website: "A challenged world is an alert world. Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality”.

There are going to be over 500 International Women’s Day events happening this year. You can find them all in the International Women’s Day website, and you can also publish your own event in case you are hosting one.

It’s hard to choose which conferences to follow from such an amazing list, but we tried to select a few that really seem promising.
